Commercial – Entertainment

Harbringer Productions is a holovid and holoimmersion production company based on Hub (Clement, Hub 0405) best known for the creation of the Superpirate! series of holovids. The company was founded in 2242 by Richard Harbringer who is still the head of the company. Harbringer Productions creates and distributes these products throughout Clement Sector.

While the company is most often identified with Superpirate! Episodes, which remain popular throughout Clement Sector, Harbringer Production has been responsible for the creation of over two thousand holovids and over two hundred holoimmersions.

These include such popular holovids as:

  • They Hit Me from Both Sides
  • Baron Fuller’s Folly
  • The Life and Times of Argent Davis
  • Skinpullers
  • The Wreck of the MV Artemis
  • The Luna City Vigilante
  • Soft As Sand
  • The Great Jump: The Johan Zimm Story
  • The Longest Sleep
  • Spear of Decision
  • The Angry Aliens
  • The Hottinger Affair
  • Ain’t Nobody Like Him
  • Goblet of Dreams
  • The Fairfax Files
  • The Bloody Snow
  • The Liar’s Chronicle
  • Wider Than the Darkness
  • Collapse
  • The Empty Skull
  • I, Lancaster
  • When the Uplift Came to Dinner
  • The Stranger’s Mind
  • Thief of Faith (musical)

Harbringer Productions has also produced a number of other holovid series, including:

  • The Rook and Bishop Mysteries
  • The Further Adventures of Torgan the Mighty
  • Dragonclash
  • Jurgen’s Hope
  • Challenge!
  • Out of Time
  • Hell Comes to Franklin
  • Wings of Angels
  • Seeking Revenge

While none of these series are as popular or as lucrative for the company as Superpirate!, many have a loyal following across the sector.

Unfortunately for the corporation, Harbringer Productions has had some spectacular failures as well. The most prominent of these was Jake: The Singing Engineer, an attempted expansion of the Superpirate! franchise which was not well received by the public or by critics. However, the most damaging failure was Skeletal Remains, which lost the company an estimated 450 million Hub Federation credits. This loss nearly destroyed the company.

The success of the production company has made Richard Harbringer one of the wealthiest people in Clement Sector. He is one of the founding members of the Har-Mack-Smith Foundation (HMSF). Not satisfied with merely giving money to his foundation, he will often be seen working in disaster relief shelters or at HMSF system outreach offices.
